وَوَصَّيْنَا الْإِنْسَانَ بِوَالِدَيْهِ حَمَلَتْهُ
أُمُّهُ وَهْنًا عَلَى وَهْنٍ وَفِصَالُهُ فِي عَامَيْنِ أَنِ اشْكُرْ لِي
وَلِوَالِدَيْكَ إِلَيَّ الْمَصِيرُ * وَإِنْ جَاهَدَاكَ عَلَى أَنْ تُشْرِكَ بِي
مَا لَيْسَ لَكَ بِهِ عِلْمٌ فَلَا تُطِعْهُمَا وَصَاحِبْهُمَا فِي الدُّنْيَا
مَعْرُوفًا وَاتَّبِعْ سَبِيلَ مَنْ أَنَابَ إِلَيَّ ثُمَّ إِلَيَّ مَرْجِعُكُمْ
فَأُنَبِّئُكُمْ بِمَا كُنْتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ
Dan Kami perintahkan kepada manusia (agar berbuat baik)
kepada kedua orang tuanya. Ibunya telah mengandungnya dalam keadaan payah yang
bertambah-tambah, dan menyapihnya dalam usia dua tahun. Bersyukurlah kepada-Ku
dan kepada kedua orang tuamu. Hanya kepada -Ku lah tempat kembalimu. (14) Dan
jika keduanya memaksamu untuk mempersekutukan -Ku dengan sesuatu yang engkau
tidak memiliki pengetahuan tentang itu, maka janganlah engkau mematuhi
keduanya, dan pergaulilah keduanya di dunia dengan baik, dan ikutilah jalan
orang yang kembali kepada-Ku. Kemudian hanya kepada-Ku lah tempat kembalimu,
maka akan Aku beritahukan kepadamu apa yang telah kamu kerjakan. (15) – (Q.S
Luqman: 14-15)

And We have enjoined upon man concerning his partners – His mother beareth him
in weakness upon weakness, and his weaning is in two years – Give thanks unto
Me and unto thy parents. Unto Me is the journeying.
31:15 But if they strive with thee to make thee ascribe unto
Me as partner that of which thou hast no knowledge, then obey them not. Consort
with them in the world kindly, and follow the path of him who repenteth unto
Me. Then unto Me will be your return, and I shall tell you what ye used to do

MOTHER AND MORAL EDUCATION
The first Ideal of the child is his mother. He loves her and therefore resorts to action
which please her and enable him to win her love and approval and avoid actions
which displease her or cause in the loss of her love and approval.
The child, thus, regulates his conduct according to a moral code
which he derives from the personality of his mother. Everything she believes to be good, beautiful
and true are regarded as ideals, this is the beginning of the expression and
satisfaction of his moral urge.
Gradually, the child comes to know that the approval and disapproval of
the mother is derived from an ideal of the mother. Soon he finds that this ideal is also the
ideal of all his teachers and elders, and in fact, of all individuals in the
community.
The more the mother loves the child, the more child will love and
admire her, and the easier it will be for her to impress upon him her views
about God and universe. Therefore, as
frequently as possible the mother should tell him that good likes good action
e.g. obedience to parents and teacher, kindness and generosity, courage, truthfulness,
justice, honesty, industriousness, dutifulness, cleanliness, regularity, etc.
And it is the mother who can do best
If the mother is not herself God-conscious and tells the child to be
good for the sake of goodness and kind for the sake of kindness, she will do a
positive harm to the moral development of the child.

PENDIDIKAN IBU DAN MORAL
Cita-cita pertama anak adalah ibunya. Dia
mencintainya dan karena itu melakukan tindakan yang menyenangkannya dan
memungkinkan dia untuk memenangkan cinta dan persetujuannya dan menghindari
tindakan yang tidak menyenangkannya atau menyebabkan hilangnya cinta dan
persetujuannya.
Dengan demikian, anak mengatur perilakunya
menurut kode moral yang diturunkan dari kepribadian ibunya. Segala sesuatu yang
dia yakini baik, indah dan benar dianggap sebagai cita-cita, ini adalah awal
dari ekspresi dan kepuasan dorongan moralnya. Lambat laun, anak mengetahui
bahwa persetujuan dan ketidaksetujuan ibu berasal dari cita-cita ibu. Segera ia
menemukan bahwa cita-cita ini juga merupakan cita-cita semua guru dan orang
yang lebih tua, dan pada kenyataannya, semua individu dalam masyarakat.
Semakin ibu mencintai anaknya, semakin anak
akan mencintai dan mengaguminya, dan semakin mudah baginya untuk memberikan
kesan kepadanya tentang pandangannya tentang Tuhan dan alam semesta. Oleh
karena itu, sesering mungkin ibu harus memberitahunya bahwa kebaikan menyukai
tindakan yang baik, mis. ketaatan kepada orang tua dan guru, kebaikan dan
kemurahan hati, keberanian, kejujuran, keadilan, kejujuran, kerajinan,
ketaatan, kebersihan, keteraturan, dll. Dan ibulah yang dapat melakukan yang terbaik
Jika sang ibu sendiri tidak sadar akan Tuhan
dan menyuruh anak menjadi baik demi kebaikan dan baik hati demi kebaikan, dia
akan merugikan perkembangan moral anak secara positif.
